The Aerodisk company, a developer and manufacturer of innovative solutions in the field of data storage and virtualization, announces the inclusion of new types of storage controllers of its own production by Aerodisk Vostok with Elbrus 2E8SV and 1E8S computing modules in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
Both solutions were entered into the register of Russian industrial products on June 6, 2022 (registry numbers 48622022 and 48612022, respectively). This was reported to CNews by representatives of Aerodisc.
They represent a new configuration of already existing solutions and are a transitional stage in the process of further development of the Aerodisk Vostok storage line.
The 2E8SV Computing Module is a 2-processor motherboard in the EATX format – a system panel designed for use in general-purpose servers of an average performance level and in data storage systems.
Computing module 1E8SV is a 1-processor microATX format motherboard – a system panel for use in general-purpose servers at an entry-level performance level.
The devices have high performance characteristics, as well as all the Enterprise functionality of modern storage systems (All-flash support, snapshots, synchronous and asynchronous replication, thin volumes, profiles for applications, file and block access, compression, deduplication, etc.).
With their help, you can organize a storage cluster that supports both the consolidation of several Aerodisk arrays and the “virtualization” of third-party arrays. This implementation supports configurations that support up to eight controllers in active mode in a single storage cluster.

“We are mastering the full cycle of production of storage systems of our lines, from the independent production of cases, boards, adapters and adapters to the assembly of the finished product. This process involves the creation of a number of transitional solutions, including the launch of intermediate modifications of the controllers that are included in the registry,” said the commercial director of the Aerodisk company. Timur Mustafaev.
Based on the results of the application review procedure, experts from the Department of the Radio-Electronic Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Trade concluded that the level of product localization meets the requirements of Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of July 17, 2015 No. 719.
“Our company reaffirms its commitment to meeting the highest industry standards in every new product. This year, we have already released several new products, including these controllers, which demonstrate the company’s ability to work for high results even in turbulent market conditions,” said Aerodisk CEO Vyacheslav Volodkovich.
