Astra Linux Group of Companies announced the start of the Astra-Career project. Its goal is to employ young professionals with proven knowledge of Astra Linux products.
“Astra-Career” is a single platform with up-to-date resumes of students and graduates of the partner universities of the Astra Linux Group: Moscow State University. MV Lomonosov, National Research Technological University “MISiS”, St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications. M. A. Bonch-Bruevich, “International Academy of Information Technologies” IT Hub “, Novosibirsk State Technical University, Kazan National Research Technological University and many others. Today there are already more than 100 questionnaires, and their number is growing rapidly. All candidates have successfully completed training on the vendor’s products and received certificates confirming their knowledge. All customers and partners of the company who are looking for employees with knowledge of Astra Linux software, access to the resource is provided free of charge. Employers can contact applicants who are interested in them, offer them practical cases and, based on the results, take them for an internship, and in the future – for work.
Now in many organizations the process of import substitution is underway, while the majority of IT specialists know how to use and administer only Windows solutions, and there are very few personnel capable of effectively working with Linux-like systems, according to the Astra Linux Group of Companies. Finding a suitable employee is not easy: often little is known about their experience and skills, and it is especially difficult to find an initial-level specialist – a student or senior student who is just starting a professional career and at the same time already has specialized knowledge.
“Astra-career” is a resource where candidates, whose competence is confirmed by the education department of the Astra Linux Group of Companies, and key Russian companies from the IT sector and other market segments meet.
Participation in the project has significant advantages for both employers and applicants, explains the Astra Linux Group of Companies. For organizations, this is a reduction in the costs of recruiting and training personnel, and for students and graduates, it is an opportunity to undergo an internship and get a prestigious job: the project is being implemented jointly with key market players. Among them are private and public IT and information security companies, as well as manufacturers and suppliers of equipment. Gazprom Neft, Aplana Group of Companies, Digital Design, Softline have already shown their interest in the resource. A number of other large companies are currently at the final stage of decision-making. The geography of Astra-Career is not limited to one city or region, partners and clients of the Astra Linux Group of Companies are all over Russia: in Moscow, Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Izhevsk, Ulan-Ude, Stavropol, etc., which greatly simplifies the search for specialists and employment.
“We see our mission in the development of the country’s human resources in the IT sector and in the formation of a positive and trusting attitude of young specialists to work in specialized Russian companies. Our main goal is to support talented youth and motivate their choice in favor of domestic development and Russian IT companies, ”said Ilya Sivtsev, CEO of Astra Linux Group.
