We have written about the Chinese manufacturer Zhaoxin several times in connection with processors based on the x86 instruction set, which are also sold in the Czech Republic within the NAS from QNAP. However, this manufacturer also plunged into graphics chips, and the first real photos of the desktop model have now leaked to the world.
The graphics card from Zhaoxin is called Glenfly Arise-GT10C0 and is aimed at simple work, especially desktop and office programs. It is designed for the PCI Express slot, it has 2 GB of memory, but versions with a different capacity can be expected in the future. In Windows, it reports as “Zhaoxin VGA bios” and offers one HDMI and one VGA output to connect a monitor. Cooling is small and provided by one fan.
And how is the performance? Literally tragic and hard to say if it’s a hardware or software or driver problem. In the Geekbench standard OpenCL interface test, the card achieved only to 579 points. This is 65 times slower than the old GeForce GTX 1650 graphics kata from Nvidia. Even integrated graphics from Intel (Iris Xe) have around 20,000 points.
If we were looking for an equivalent with similar performance, we would get approximately to the level of AMD Radeon HD 5450 graphics (40 nm, 292 million transistors), which was launched in 2010.
