Tele2, a Russian mobile operator, has introduced the ability to pay for purchases in its mobile stores using the Fast Payment System (FPS) – for this, the visitor just needs to scan a QR code. The solution is not only convenient for customers who do not need to take a card with them, but also saves dealers a lot of hassle. The technical integrator Invoice takes care of supporting the solution, and Tele2 partners do not need to install special software for accepting payments via SBP. This was reported to CNews by representatives of Tele2.

Tele2 customers can pay for purchases in a non-cash way using QR codes at more than 500 outlets. The project was successfully piloted in Ryazan, Kirov, Kursk, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Ulyanovsk, Izhevsk, Volgograd, Perm, Orenburg, Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, Vladivostok. The solution is scalable throughout Russia and will soon cover 1,500 outlets.

To pay for the purchase, you need to point the camera at the QR code placed at the checkout or in the preliminary check. Next, the client gets to a page where he sees the composition and amount of the order, and then a list of banking applications through which payment can be made.

SBP in Tele2 stores was integrated by Invoice. For the dealer, this is more convenient than direct work with the bank. Invoice eliminates the need to manually verify documents and install special software, and takes care of all technical issues related to system maintenance. To organize the acceptance of payments through the SBP with Invoice, a Tele2 partner will only need to make special settings in 1C.

Denis Goleshchikhin, Director of Tele2 Retail: “We are witnessing the active development of the Bank of Russia Fast Payment System, this service is becoming more and more in demand. Our partners got the opportunity to accept non-cash payments based on QR-code technology. In cooperation with Invoice, we continue to work to make the convenient SBP service available to as many users as possible in different regions of our country. Customers have long been accustomed to contactless payment, and thanks to the FPS, they do not need to take a plastic card with them, worry about security and enter a PIN code.”

Ilya Agafonov, Commercial Director of Invoice: “SBP is more profitable and faster than classic acquiring, and with the QR code from Invoice, the service has become even more convenient. Over the next two years, the SBP will become the main channel for receiving payments in the C2B segment in Russia. At the beginning of the year, the number of purchases through the SBP in some stores with Invoice already amounted to 60% of the non-cash turnover. In addition, the service allows Tele2 management to see statistics and analytics for all stores and partners in a single interface in a timely manner.”
