Halo Infinite release date and possible PC requirements

Halo Infinite release date and possible PC requirements

A leak has left us the release date of Halo Infinite , one of the most anticipated games of the present generation that, except for surprise, maintains the multiplatform approach that we saw at the time. This means that this title has been developed for Xbox One, Xbox Series XS and PC , and that its requirements will therefore be within the level to which the previous generation consoles had accustomed us.

The history of Halo Infinite is curious. The game was going to arrive in 2020 , and it was called to become one of the great exclusives of Microsoft’s new generation console, although as we have said, its launch was also planned for Xbox One and PC. However, after the negative reviews that the game received in its first public demo, the Redmond giant had one thing clear: Halo Infinite was not ready to hit the market, and it needed a good dose of sheet metal and paint. Therefore, it was delayed to 2021 .

I must say that it was a totally wise decision. The level of Halo Infinite was far from the expectations it had generated , and its overall technical finish was not up to par, not even making the reasonable concessions that would be applied to a generational transition title. It will be necessary to see, of course, if that extra development time has really served any purpose, and if the final version of Halo Infinite ends up being up to par.

Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite will arrive on December 8

Not long ago we saw some information that pointed to a possible Halo Infinite launch this past spring . In the end they were not met, and according to a new leak, which has been supported by trusted sources, everything seems to indicate that Halo Infinite will hit the market on December 8. It is a perfectly credible date, but keep in mind that it has not been confirmed by Microsoft, and therefore it is not absolutely valid.

Regarding the requirements, being an intergenerational game these will be quite reasonable . Here is an estimate of the minimum specifications that we must meet in order to move Halo Infinite in an acceptable way (1080p, medium quality and a stable 30 FPS, probably).

  • Intel Core i5-2500K or FX-8350 CPU.
  • 8 GB of RAM memory.
  • Windows 10 in its 64-bit version.
  • GeForce GTX 960 or Radeon R9 380 graphics card.
  • 4 GB of graphics memory.

The recommended requirements should be based on the following:

  • Intel Core i7-8700 or Ryzen 5 3600 CPU.
  • 16 GB of RAM memory.
  • Windows 10 in its 64-bit version.
  • GeForce RTX 2060 Super or Radeon RX 5700 graphics card.
  • 8 GB of graphics memory.
