CES 2022. Razer has unveiled its new line of Razer Blade laptops in Las Vegas. Are three high-end models with different screen sizes to meet the needs of gamers or creators, and with the potential to replace desktop computers as a single machine.

Razer Blade 14
‘Small but tough’ is one of the industry’s most powerful gaming ultraportables and will continue to do so with the manufacturer’s arsenal. Razer continues to trust AMD and mounts the new Ryzen 6000 processors presented at CES and specifically the Ryzen 9 6900HX 8 cores, 16 threads, 4.9 GHz maximum frequency and 20 Mbytes of cache.
For the graphics, although the CPU includes a Radeon 680M for basic uses, Razer bets on the new graphics up to the RTX 3080 Ti with 16 Gbytes of GDDR6 memory, the most powerful that can be mounted in a notebook and with NVIDIA’s arsenal of technologies: 4th generation Max-Q technology, CPU Optimizer, Rapid Core Scaling and Battery Boost 2.0. 16 Gbytes of DDR5 memory and PCI Gen4 solid state drives up to 2 Tbytes complete the internal hardware section.
The screen is the well-known 14-inch IPS, with optional panels such as an FHD with a 144 Hz refresh rate or a 2K with 165Hz refresh rate and support for 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Both panels are individually calibrated at the factory and support AMD FreeSync Premium Image Synchronization Technology.
It has two USB 3.2 Type A ports and two other Type C ports, one of them for charging the 62 WHr battery and Display Port 1.4 support. It also has HDMI output and a Kensington lock slot. There is no shortage of the latest connectivity elements such as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, FHD webcam with Windows Hello support, stereo speakers and THX support.
Razer Blade 15
The intermediate model of the series mounts a 15.6 inch IPS screen with panels to choose between a 360 Hz refresh rate FHD or a 240 Hz QHD. They have a matte coating, bezels of only 4.9 on the sides, support for 100% of the sRGB and DCI color gamuts -P3, respectively. They support G-SYNC synchronization technology and feature Optimus mode for switching between integrated and dedicated graphics.
Its processor is also a premiere, the 12th generation of Alder Lake for laptops presented by Intel in Las Vegas and specifically a Core i7-12800H with 14 cores, complemented by 16 Gbytes of DDR5 memory and dual PCI Gen4 solid state drives. Like the rest of the models, it equips dedicated graphics series RTX 30 from NVIDIA.
In terms of connectivity, mount a Killer network card for Wi-Fi 6E, plus Bluetooth 5.2, FHD webcam with Windows Hello support, stereo speakers and THX support. There is a good number of ports, three USB 3.2 Type A and another Type C, in addition to Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1 and another to power an 80 WHr battery.
Razer Blade 17
The largest in size of the series, it is perfectly prepared to definitely replace a desktop with its massive screen of 17.3 inch, with panels to choose between a 360 Hz refresh rate FHD and two 165 or 240 Hz refresh rate QHDs.
Its processor is a Core i7-12800H with 14 cores from Intel’s twelfth generation Core, accompanied by 16 Gbytes of 4800 MHz DDR5 memory and 4Tbyte PCI Gen4 Solid State Drives. For the graphics section, it equips up to the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, one of the new dedicated graphics for laptops presented by NVIDIA at the Las Vegas fair.
Its size allows it to mount a large number of ports, three USB 3.2 Type A and another two Type C with support for Thunderbolt 4, in addition to HDMI 2.1, memory card reader, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and Ethernet LAN 2.5 Gb .
