It’s only been a few months since Sony announced that it was planning to redesign its PlayStation Plus subscription. As of today, its new variants are also available in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Starting today, you can pay extra for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 for new PlayStation Plus subscription variants. Extra and Premium they bring benefits such as access to a game library with titles from the latest generations, trial versions of new games or the ability to stream some games from older PlayStations.
Prices
- Essential – CZK 235 per month / CZK 650 quarterly / CZK 1,560 per year
- Extra – CZK 365 per month / CZK 1,040 quarterly / CZK 2,600 per year
- Premium – CZK 445 per month / CZK 1,300 quarterly / CZK 3,120 per year
If you are not interested in news, then nothing will change for you. Your existing subscription will be converted to the Essential variant, which is identical to the original PlayStation Plus. You will still receive several free games every month, you can continue to use the cloud storage and sometimes you will get bigger discounts in the PlayStation store. But there is nothing stopping you from upgrading to one of the new variants, which you will do in the subscription settings.
The orientation in the offer of games that are included in the subscription is, at least for the time being, quite confusing. On the official PlayStation website you will find only a simple list, which does not include games from the retro catalog. We hope that Sony will fine-tune this in the coming weeks or months. At first glance, however, titles like Ghost of Tsushima, Red Dead Redemption 2 or Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
