The Russian IT developer Satel built the infrastructure for the Regional Interagency Telephone Network of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug

Satel has completed the first stage of work on the creation of the Regional Interdepartmental Telephone Network of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug with the supply of telecommunications equipment and the transfer of non-exclusive rights to use the software. For this purpose, the company’s own UC-platform “Russian Telephone Center” (RTU) was introduced. As part of the implementation of the first stage of the project for the implementation of the UC platform in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the core of the RTU unified communications system was installed and put into operation. This was reported to CNews by representatives of Satel.

Modernization of the telephone network of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug included a pre-project survey, customization of RTU, delivery, installation of the system and its commissioning. All work was completed on time, and at the moment subscribers are being migrated to the new UC platform. The design and implementation of the second and third stages of the project will be carried out based on the indicators of financial and economic efficiency that the UC platform can show. The Russian Telephone Node is a completely domestic digital product, with the help of which high-loaded distributed communication networks of the federal scale and IP-telephony with a reliability of 99.999% are created. One server with the RTU UC platform, even in the basic configuration, can accumulate up to 4000 one-time telephone calls and several tens of thousands of subscriber accounts. RTU can replace such imported digital solutions as CISCO, UNIFY, AVAYA, Iskratel.

The introduction of the domestic RTU universal communications platform provides the opportunity to use all the key advantages of modern communications, including the use of a mobile phone as a full-fledged office telephone with a short number, free communication within the company and call forwarding from a multichannel corporate number. The network of any mobile operator is suitable as a reference. All employees – both office and mobile – are together in a single communication space.

“The introduction of RTU allows us to provide stable telephone communications even in the most remote regions of Russia,” noted Roman Romanov, head of the software development center of the Satel company. “At the same time, being a completely domestic development, the UC platform is reliably protected from malicious attacks, and thanks to the Micro RTU technology, it is also protected from interruptions in the connection between subscribers even with unstable communication with the center of the UC platform.”
