The Russian IT company “Smart-Soft”, a developer of complex systems for organizing controlled access to the Internet of corporate computer networks and protecting them from external cyber threats, announced the expansion of the functionality of the universal security gateway (UTM) Traffic Inspector Next Generation by adding a multifactor authentication module Multifactor .

The integration of Traffic Inspector Next Generation with the Multifactor module (developed by the Russian company Multifactor) opens up the possibility for administrators of Traffic Inspector Next Generation to additionally protect user accounts from password guessing and phishing.

A distinctive feature of the solution is that Multifactor for Traffic Inspector Next Generation works not only for VPN, but also for a proxy server. Administrators of Traffic Inspector Next Generation can use two options for multi-factor authentication of proxy or VPN users: through RADIUS and LDAP adapters developed by Multifactor.

“Expanding the functionality of information security solutions is a task that the Smart-Soft team pays special attention to. We carefully analyze the needs of the market and add only really popular features to the product that provide a high level of solution efficiency. Multi-factor authentication is the case. The most common methods of infiltrating corporate networks are using accounts of company employees stolen through phishing and obtained by guessing a password. To prevent such situations, we recommend supplementing the Traffic Inspector Next Generation with the Multifactor module,” said the Executive Director of Smart-Soft. Sergey Chernomashentsev.
