Varonis Systems announced the successful completion of an audit on control procedures in service organizations – Service Organization Control for Service Organizations (SOC 2) Type II. The audit confirms that DatAdvantage Cloud, Varonis’s cloud-based data protection solution for mission-critical SaaS and IaaS platforms, meets stringent standards for security, availability, confidentiality, and data integrity.
“Certification is proof that Varonis has the necessary internal controls to ensure the security of critical data in the cloud. The audit will strengthen our compliance program, which already includes ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 27701 and Common Criteria certifications, ”said Guy Shamilov, director of information security at Varonis.
Service and Organization Controls (SOC) is an international cybersecurity risk management reporting standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The SOC is considered the gold standard for security, confidentiality, availability, and data processing integrity.
The audit was carried out by KPMG. The audit analyzed the objectives, activities and effectiveness of Varonis in the field of security control in accordance with the criteria of the AICPA Security Service.
