Tomorrow, ie. on Thursday, January 13, another Transporter mission should take place. SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket will launch several dozen small satellites into orbit.
It is not without interest that the second detector, developed by experts from the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague (FNSPE) in cooperation with esc Aerospace, will be on board.
Specifically, it is a 2SD particle detector, which, together with other devices, is located on the Czech nanosatellite VZLUSAT-2. His task will be to map the so-called cosmic weather and ionizing radiation.
If you do not want to miss this event, note that the beginning of the live broadcast with a Czech commentary by Dušan Majer is tentatively scheduled for 4:10 p.m.
