We discovered the first black hole in the galaxy M87 dozens ago, and since 2019 we even have a “photo” of it. So why have we “photographed” the black hole in our Milky Way much closer now?

The first and simple answer is that the black hole in Messier 87 is larger. Even 1600 times bigger. Jiří Dobrý will explain other reasons in the next part of the Z VESMÍRU series.
